Dough:
2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 egg
1 Tbsp oil
1/2 cup warm water
Filling:
4 cups peeled and sliced apples
1 cup crumbled bread crumbs
2 Tbsp melted butter
1/4 cup raisins
2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup sugar or less
1/4 cup butter, melted
Steps:
Mix dough, cover, and let stand for 1 hour or longer.
Peel and slice about 1 quart or more apples (I use Cortlands).
In a frying pan, brown crumbled bread in 2 Tbsp butter.
Cool and set aside.
Roll out dough on large cloth which is dusted with flour(potica cloth).
Then stretch dough until it is paper thin. (A few holes won't matter).
Trim off thicker outer edges.
At this point you should let the dough dry out somewhat or use a hair-dryer to dry it out a bit.
Brush with melted butter.
Spread on the apples; then sprinkle on sugar which is mixed with the cinnamon.
Sprinkle on bread crumbs and raisins.
Roll up like a jelly roll.
Twist it into a 9 x 12 cake pan which has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
Bake about 45 minutes to an hour at 350 degrees or until it is nicely brown.
Watch it.
Serve warm or cold.
