Ethnicity:Spanish Food Type:Hot Dish Preparation Time:n/a Servings:8 Author: John "Guba" Gobats Email  Ingredients: 1 cup uncooked rice (1/2 lb)1 lb ground beef 4 Tbsp butter or bacon fat1 small clove chopped garlic1 1/2 cup water2 tsp chopped pimento2 Tbsp chopped green pepper1/4 cup chopped onion1 tsp salt1 cup chopped tomatoes1 Tbsp chilli powder dissolved in 1/4 cup cold water Steps: Heat 2 Tbsp butter or bacon fat.Add the rice and fry, while stirring, to light golden brown.Remove rice and add 2 more Tbsp fat or butter.Add in the ground beef, onion, garlic, and green peppers and cook 10 minutes.Add salt, tomatoes, dissolved chilli power, and pimento.Cook for 3 to 4 minutes.Mix with rice.Add the 1 1/2 cup water.Pour into baking dish.Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
